Design Details:

This eye-catching piece features a richly textured, glossy honey-brown basket-weave body. Sculpted in deep three-dimensional relief, a winding green thorny stem wraps around the front of the vessel. The stem culminates on the left rim with a vibrant, tightly closed burgundy/plum floral bud, while a tiny, meticulously detailed frog sits perched opposite on the right rim, peering curiously across the opening.

Maker’s Mark:

The unglazed terracotta-colored underside is marked with a distinctive, hand-painted stylized "RS" signature in white script, characteristic of high-quality mid-to-late 20th-century decorative majolica reproductions.

Exact Measurements:

• Opening Rim Diameter: 4 inches

• Total Max Width (Flower edge to frog back): Approx. 5 inches

• Rim Height: 3.5 inches

• Total Max Height (To top of frog): Approx. 4.25 inches

Condition Notes:

This item is in beautiful vintage condition. The glaze remains bright and lustrous. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. As is common with hand-crafted and hand-glazed ceramics, there may be minor variations in color depth and glaze application on the base, which only add to its authentic vintage character.

This is a pre-owned item. As with all vintage and pre-owned items, they did not come straight from the factury and may have blemishes. Please check all photos carefully prior to puchase. Returns not accepted on bundle and save.
